Canadian wrestler that was going to represent Canada at 2012 Olympics tested positive for steroids

The Canadian wrestler Colin Daynes tested positive for forbidden medications. His Olympic dreams will not become real. He was banned for 2 years.
Last year the sportsperson was chosen for the Windsor/Essex County Sports Hall of Fame.
The wrestler was banned by the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sports. He failed a drug test, when he acquired a gold medal in the 74-kg division.
The sportsman tested positive for Drostanolone, Boldenone, Tamoxifen and Furosemide. Each of these products is in the list of banned preparations of the World Anti-Doping Agency. As for Drostanolone and Boldenone, they are anabolic steroids. Furosemide represents a diuretic medication. It serves as a masking agent for other products. Tamoxifen is a product which is recommended for prevention of undesirable results which occur due to application of steroids.
The wrestler admitted to administration of forbidden products and accepted the sentence. Colin Daynes claimed that he administered the prohibited medications to receive recovery from an injury. He told to The Star Monday night that he wanted to recover in order to participate in the 2012 Olympics. The athlete noticed that a naturopathic physician recommended taking these products. The athlete also added that he hadn’t known that the products were banned. According to his affirmations, if he had known, he wouldn’t have competed.
The wrestler wanted to represent Canada at the Olympics again. He represented his country at the 1996 Olympics that took place in Atlanta.
He didn’t attempt to defense himself. The wrestler noted that there was no any difference whether the forbidden products were found in the blood or not. They presented in the system.
Earlier this wrestler also competed in mixed martial arts. Colin Daynes had to qualify internationally. The wrestler thought that he would compete at the Olympic Games in London last time. Then his career ends. But he was sentenced to ban due to positives for forbidden medications.
His personal trainer Bill Hogarth notes that that the things are too bad. But the athlete didn’t desire to lie. Hogarth hopes that Daynes’ reputation will not be destroyed. During the career Colin Daynes won 62 gold medals, 11 silver and 5 bronze medals.
