New arguments of defense attorney for Roger Clemens

It is known by each baseball fan that Roger Clemens is accused in obstruction of justice. It is affirmed that he has lied before Congress about application of steroids and HGH.
Rusty Hardin pointed out that there was no any difference in physical appearance of Roger Clemens before, during and after his trainings with the trainer Brian McNamee. He confirmed that this factor was a proof that Roger Clemens hadn’t administered steroids and other related products.
Appearance of muscles is usually utilized by federal prosecutors as proof that a person applied steroids or/and other related medicines. But this tendency was not utilized during the governmental case against Roger Clemens. Nobody could confirm that Roger Clemens’ muscles demonstrated that he had applied steroids and HGH. It is a difference between the case against Roger Clemens and that against Barry Bonds.
When it comes to the governmental case against Barry Bonds, feds called numerous persons in the trial who were able to testify that anabolic steroids led to evidential changes in physique of this athlete. They considered that usage of steroids caused increase of muscle size, enhanced size of the head and testicular shrinkage in Barry Bonds.
So, Rusty Hardin presented 4 photos of Roger Clemens. The pictures displayed physical appearance of Roger Clemens, including the period of time when Clemens was working with Brian McNamee. Hardin noticed that the photos displayed that there were no changes in physical appearance that could manifest that he utilized steroids and HGH.
The defense attorney for Roger Clemens confirmed that the photos manifested just the process of ageing. The masseur Cheryl Redfern noticed that she didn’t observe any changes in physical appearance of Roger Clemens. Roger Clemens experienced neither back acne, nor abnormal development of breast tissue, nor essentially increased muscle mass.
Phil Garner, a former baseball player, also claimed that there were not any essential changes in physical appearance and performance of Roger Clemens during working with the trainer Brian McNamee.
The Assistant US Attorney Steve Durham put efforts to discredit the affirmation about lack of changes in Roger Clemens’ physical appearance during the cross-examination of the former baseball player Phil Garner. He claimed that while certain steroids enhanced muscle mass, others didn’t promote gaining muscles. Thus, he confirmed that the pictures could say nothing about steroid use.
Federal prosecutors want to take advantages in both cases: in the case against Roger Clemens and in that against Barry Bonds. While they claim that changes in physical appearance of Barry Bonds display that he has administered steroids, lack of physical changes in Roger Clemens doesn’t prove that he hasn’t taken steroids.
