Jeff Bagwell for Baseball Hall of Fame

The American sportswriter Tom Verducci says about debates linked with rughts of steroid users to be chosen for the Baseball Hall of Fame. But as it commonly happens, this explanation shows only confusion of journalists about steroids.
The Baseball Writers Association of America (BWAA)  is a professional association of baseball reporters that chose players for the National Baseball Hall of Fame. All journalists who are members of the BWAA already not less than 10 years have opportunity to elect up to 10 players for the Hall of Fame.
Recently it was a debate between members of the BWAA. They discussed whether admitted or just suspected users of steroids and other prohibited medicines might entry into Cooperstown.
Members of the BWAA usually should comment their votes:  they have to explain why they have voted pro or contra certain issues. Some of them claim that doping destructs the integrity of sports and usage of banned preparations is frequently considered by them to be immoral.
As for Verducci, he doesn’t believe that usage of steroids is necessarily a moral question. This writer assures that steroids help consumers to take unfair advantage over those who don’t use controlled substances. According to this sportswriter, performance-enhancing drugs make competitions unfair. Thus, usage of forbidden drugs promotes unfairness in sports.  That’s why Verducci denies any link between doping and morality. This sportswriter claims that it is a question that is linked with performance but not to morality. So, this sportswriter supposes that steroid users must not be allowed to be in the Hall of Fame. But he has voted for the admitted steroid user Jeff Bagwell. This athlete has acknowledged that he had taken androstenedione. It is important to note that this medicine was not listed among anabolic steroids, when Bagwell administrated it. According to the Control Act 2004, it is listed among forbidden preparations. Since it wasn’t legally considered to be a steroid, Verducci decided to vote for the consumer of this preparation; however, it was always called an anabolic-androgenic steroid by scientists. Moreover, it was said that Bagwell just became bigger but didn’t improve his performance due to usage of androstenedione.
Nevertheless, the decision of Verducci to vote for the admitted user of the steroid is quite controversial. The following question appears: “Maybe Verducci is not against intake of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs by sportspeople?”  Since this sportswriter doesn’t believe that doping is a moral question, he may suggest that increase of performance is not a real problem.
A lot of people suggest that administration of steroids represents evil because they are illegal.

Can steroid use lead to violence connected with jealousness?

Johnnie Lee Wiggins is a NPC heavyweight bodybuilder. This person was enough successful. Johnnie Lee Wiggins took the 3rd  place at the 2011 NPC Emerald Cup and won the 2011 NPC Empire Classic.
He was a boyfriend of Prudence Hockley. This lady taught English at Woodinville High School in Washington. Prudence Hockley met Lee Wiggins in a gym. He was a personal coach at that time.
Once he saw another man’s vehicle in the yard of her home. It was on Christmas day. This bodybuilder was a jealous man. Johnnie Lee Wiggins beat Prudence Hockley very brutally.  Then Johnnie Lee Wiggins left her unconscious and bleeding on the ground in the yard. The woman was taken in a medical centre where she died that day.  The child of Prudence Hockley was at home and called police and hospital.
It was not the first time, when Johnnie Lee Wiggins was aggressive with a lady. Certain ladies reported that he was very jealous man. They also claimed that he became aggressive many times.
Earlier this bodybuilder served more than 5 years in prison for assault, robbery and theft. It was in Georgia. This person was released in 2008. During May 2011 the bodybuilder was under supervision of the Washington Department of Corrections.
It is necessary to mention that Johnnie Lee Wiggins was released on probation. During this time a police officer caught him possessing anabolic steroids; he attacked the officer. The Washington Department of Corrections sent him to Georgia but Johnnie Lee Wiggins didn’t tell the Georgia Department of corrections that he had returned.
It was said that this bodybuilder had had “roid rage”. Actually, this term is widely used by media that confirms that it is a negative effect of anabolic steroids. But it is necessary to know that the affirmation about uncontrolled behavior which is believed to be caused by intake of anabolic steroids doesn’t have any scientific basis. Only an essentially small number of steroid users experience this reaction. Intake of steroids doesn’t lead to violence against women.  Millions cases of domestic violence take place each year but they have no links with anabolic steroids.
There are other conditions which lead to domestic violence. Anabolic steroids should not be blamed for uncontrolled aggression and violence. Media should determine other conditions to blame for tragedies.

Ineffectiveness of the UFC steroid program

Dana White, the president of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) tries to defend the anti-doping policy of this organization. According to the UFC, their strictest testing program for steroids is in North America. Is it actually true? Sometimes it seems that only fool athletes are caught taking prohibited medicines by the UFC.
There are some agencies that criticize the anti-doping program of the UFC harshly. The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) and the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) are chief organizations that criticize drug-testing policy of the UFC. But which is the reason? Of course, they fight for own interests. They try to control testing for banned preparations in all professional and amateur sport leagues in the whole world. It is not a secret that steroid testing has become a profitable business.  Since they haven’t tested fighters for banned preparations, they have lost a lot of money.
But there are also certain actual problems linked with the UFC steroid program which must be taken in consideration. Travis Tygart, the CEO of the WADA, claims that steroid testing of the UFC isn’t effective. Of course the WADA has the most appropriate anti-doping program. The UFC drug-testing program can’t be even compared with that of the UFC. The CEO of the WADA claims that the UFC put efforts to look better than they are in reality. The CEO of the WADA announces that it is quite ironically that the UFC defends own steroid testing policy and doesn’t agree to have the same or just similar principles as the WADA has.
Major League Baseball did a huge mistake, confirming that steroids represent a huge problem in this sport. So, it was destroyed good public impression about baseball.  As for the National Football League, it was created impression that their drug-testing program has been very effective.
A question appears: Is Dana White able to show that there is no steroid problem in the UFC?

Do many surfers take anabolic steroids?

Anabolic steroids are used by surfers too. Sport governing body announces that prohibited medicines are an essential problem in this sport. That’s why the Association of Surfing Professionals decided to implicate testing for anabolic steroids and other prohibited drugs which are applied for performance-enhancing effects.
The Association of Surfing Professionals had some discussions with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). They asked how they could implicate testing for forbidden products into surfing. Since anti-doping program of the WADA is considered to be the best policy, the surfing organization desires to apply this protocol. It goes without saying that this is the next victory of the WADA which gives the opportunity to manage drug-testing programs in sports.
Everybody knows that surfing is a competitive sport. So, strength, speed and endurance are main skills that induce winning. So, surfers could think that usage of anabolic steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs promotes success greatly. It is also important to take in consideration that amount of money which is obtained by winners is large. Winners obtain no less than 100, 000 dollars. Desire to receive money could lead surfers to decision to take anabolic steroids.
Nonetheless, it is said that administration of anabolic steroids and other medications which increase performance is not widespread in surfing. Numerous individuals believe that intake of recreational drugs is more widespread among surfers than intake of steroids. Sport of 1970s and 1980s was oftan associated with marijuana and lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD). Current facts justify this impression. The number of surfers who are caught administrating marijuana, methamphetamine and cocaine is quite high.
Andi Irons, a professional surfer, died in November 2010. A heart attack that he had was caused by drug abuse. It was determined that steroids hadn’t been implicated in this fatal case. Traces of methamphetamine, cocaine and methadone metabolites were found in his body.
Another surfer, Peter Davi, died in December 2007. Enhanced levels of meth were also found in his system.
As for Anthony Ruffo, another professional surfer, he was caught distributing meth.
Only Neco Padaratz, a professional surfer from Brazil, was caught administrating steroids. He was banned for one year. This person tested positive for prohibited preparations in 2004. This person claimed that he had taken these drugs to receive a complete recovery from back injuries. In spite of his defense, he was banned. He was the first person who was caught taking steroids by the Association of Surfing Professionals. According to numerous sources, he remains to be the only surfer who has ever been caught by the ASP.
The ASP has already the primary budget to introduce the WADA steroid program into surfing.
While it is unlikely that steroids represent a problem in surfing, the new anti-doping program can create a wrong public impression.

Sometimes steroid dealers are used to discover consumers of these illegal preparations

Robert Kusmack, a former officer of Paw Paw Police Department, was caught possessing Fluoxymesterone (Halotestin) due to a Michigan steroid investigation. The targets of the investigation were officials of law enforcement and an owner of a gym. As a result, this police officer received probation of 1 year and was enforced to pay certain fine. Thus, this police officer was fired in 2010.
Investigations related to steroids are led commonly in the following way: consumers of steroids are used in order to catch steroid dealers. But sometimes authorities choose another way to lead investigations.
United States Mail Inspection Service had found a package which contained 50 vials of HGH and was addressed to Tom Radke, a distributor of steroids. The West Michigan Enforcement Team (WMET) and the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team (KVET) began to lead the investigation which resulted in detection of the steroid dealer.
But the authorities made a decision not to prosecute the distributor of steroids but to use him as an informant. It was made a decision to catch police officers that administrate steroids due to the distributor of steroids. An owner of a local gym was involved in this process as well.
Radke acted as an undercover informant in this investigation. He sold Fluoxymesterone to Aaron DiPrima that was the owner of a local gym. The gym owner supplied the police official Robert Kusmack with this product. Both Aaron DiPrima and the police official were arrested.
The gym owner Aaron DiPrima pleaded guilty in possession of an analogue. He was sentenced to one-year probation. He was also sentenced to 60 hours of community service. So, the distributor of steroids was not sentenced to prison. Three consumers of steroids lost their jobs.

However many wrestlers use anabolic steroids, these drugs are not responsible for deaths of these persons

The Road Warriors, a professional wrestling tag team, were first that introduced bodybuilding-type muscularity in this sport. This tag team was composed of Hawk (Mike Hegstrand) and Animal (Joe Laurinaitis). Hegstrand died in 2003. The death of this person was sudden because of a heart attack. This professional wrestler died at the age of 46. As it is known, popular media usually reports about deaths of professional wrestlers, connecting the cases with intake of anabolic steroids. The death of Hegstrand was not an exception. After the death of this professional wrestler a lot of articles appeared in newspapers that blamed anabolic steroids for this case.
Joe “Animal” Laurinaitis admitted to intake of steroids by this wrestling team. But he confirmed that these medicines hadn’t lead to Hegstrand’s death. He added that other factors were responsible for Hegstrand’s death as well as deaths of other wrestlers. This person pointed out that such drugs, as cocaine and Xanax had to be demonized for such cases. Laurinaitis confirmed that he desired to explain that steroids had not been connected with death of Hegstrand.
Joe Laurinaitis noted that cocaine and Xanax had contributed in the death of this wrestler. He also announced that these drugs caused deaths of such people, as Henning, Rick Rude and Davey Boy Smith. According to Joe Laurinaitis, intake of cocaine frequently leads to administration of morphine. These drugs destruct health totally and cause heart attacks.
Why must words of Laurinaitis be true? He was in Australia with Hegstrand. He knows about what he speaks. Lately this person collaborated with Andrew William Wright to say about his experiences with “Hawk”.

Andrew Tilin describes motivations of various sportspersons who have doped

The amateur cyclist and writer Andrew Tilin  received a 2-year ban. United States Anti-Doping Agency banned this person after he had admitted administrating steroids for legal hormone replacement therapy. The admitting was made by the rider in own book that will be soon probably released. The book is entitled following: “The Doper Next Door: My Strange and Scandalous Year on Performance-Enhancing Drugs” .
this book presents individual experiences of many persons who used drugs that have performance-enhancing effects.
Thus, Tilin took the steroid testosterone for hormone replacement therapy. It is quite clear.  In fact, it is not yet clear whether this person has mentioned about personal experience related also to other medicines that enhance performance.
Tilin tries to comprehend and describe in his book why persons dope. He notices the motivations of different persons. Do these drugs help really? These medicines are quite controversial; the explanations linked with these medicines are controversial as well. Since a lot of users do not like talking about their usage, many answers on questions about doping remain unopened.
Tilin has been essentially changed due to intake of the steroid testosterone. He has become much stronger but more aggressive. This person had to worry about his health and about the methods to lie, being an amateur rider. Thus, Tilin became to be involved in the doping subculture.
Writing his book, Andrew Tilin wanted to explain that steroids are unsafe and have numerous undesirable reactions.  Many athletes who have administrated forbidden substances criticize Andrew Tilin. One of critics is Joe Papp, a former American cyclist. This athlete was caught distributing and taking several performance-enhancing drugs. He didn’t admit using forbidden preparations willingly; he was caught due to an investigation. His professional and personal life was destructed because of these prohibited drugs. Joe Papp wrote about Tilin that he had been doped for a year intentionally. Papp mentioned that Tilin had known that the steroid testosterone was banned but he had administrated it. Then he wrote that these products caused unexpected results in consumers.  According to Joe Papp, Andrew Tilin had to receive a 4-year ban.
Andrew Tilin’s ban began in March 2011.

Real facts display that violation of common safety measures by steroid dealers often lead to their detection

Sale of anabolic steroids without any prescription for performance-enhancing effects is not legal in U. S. If anybody intends to sell these preparations and is involved in actions connected with the steroid black market, this person takes risks having serious troubles. But there are also methods to prevent or lower risks being caught by police officials.
Steroid dealers should follow all traffic rules. This aspect is too important. If an individual violates any traffic rule, driving his vehicle, police officers’ attention will be drawn on this action. Imagine what happens: when anyone violates speed limit laws, he/she will be stopped by police officials. Moreover, if this person also smokes pot with his friend, driving the car and violating traffic rules, drug-sniffing dogs will be probably brought to determine whether there are any drugs in the vehicle.
Furthermore, reasonable distributors of steroids store the all preparations, the price list and the customer list in a safe place. But if several steroid dealers store all these things in the vehicle in that they were smoking pot, violating speed limit rules, they will be caught possessing steroids illegally with intentions to distribute them. Then the problems begin.
Steroid dealers can say that it is not required to write such cautions because it goes without any saying that all distributors of illegal preparations know about  these warnings. But real facts display that several distributors of steroids are not careful and that’s why they are caught.
A case will be presented further. Deputies of Yavapai County Sheriff Office stopped a vehicle driven by Johnson because this man violated certain traffic laws. The deputies supposed that there might be contraband in this car. The suggestions were justified. Marijuana, certain 10-ml vials of the steroid testosterone and syringes were found in this cat. Certain documents founded in the vehicle showed that the amounts of steroids were at the price of over 3,000 dollars.

New ways to enhance performance in fighters

Sportspersons are always looking for any ways to enhance their performance. Nobody can doubt about it. That’s why many athletes apply anabolic steroids or/and other medicines that possess performance-enhancing effects. But there is also another method. Mixed martial artists apply even plastic surgery for this goal.
Everyone knows that fighters suffer from facial lacerations. This is the nature of this sport.  After fighter have experienced a cut, they become more vulnerable to future cuts. The scar tissue can develop; wounds are sutured in several situations improperly. It may happen that physicians suture just the superficial layer of the skin. This condition results in improper healing of underlying tissue.
An interesting article about the plastic surgeon Frank Stile was published by the writer Jake Rossen. This specialist performs surgeries for mix martial artists. He removes the scar tissue and replaces it with tissue from donated dead human bodies. Such procedures are often applied for cosmetic needs. Frank Stile is considered to be the first surgeon that has used this procedure for increase of performance in mixed martial artists.
It is also necessary to mention that prominent facial bones in the nose, brow and cheek may make the fighters predisposed to lacerations. But it can be avoided as well. Surgeons can remove the sharp edges. It can help to avoid potential lacerations.
Since predispositions to lacerations disturb fighters to reach better results, some specialists claim that it is possible to create a super-fighter due to plastic operation. So, these fighters will have significant competitive advantages.
Earlier experts thought about this aspect too. It may show the short story written by the science fiction author Richard Matheson.  The story was created in 1956. The author described a future. It was written that persons watched how large robot athletes fought, trying to destroy one another’s CPUs.
When Richard Matheson was writing the story, he didn’t think that it would be provocative. A lot of persons desired to see other sportspersons in reality. They wanted the fighter to be other than human. That’s why a lot of fans invested much money, hoping to achieve the goal.
It is possible to suggest that cosmetic operation will soon reach the level of the method of steroid use and intake of other performance-enhancing drugs.
Undoubtedly, numerous ethical questions appear in this situation. But some specialists claim that it is too late to discuss these questions. Human performance is already tightly linked with technological progress. The corruption of sports has begun many years ago and it can’t be stopped, according to opinions of numerous experts.
Anti-doping agencies have displayed that they can’t war on steroids and other forbidden preparations effectively.  Will anybody have ability to keep fighters from surgical procedures?

Some persons think that consumers of steroids can’t avoid “roid rage”

Many individuals believe that “roid rage” or uncontrolled aggressive behavior is a usual undesirable symptom which occurs in consumers of steroids. Moreover, several persons think that it is even impossible to prevent this unexpected reaction, if you administrate steroids. Nonetheless, it is not proven scientifically that it is a real negative result of anabolic steroids. But even if we suppose that it exists, it can occur just in small number of steroid users.
Since many persons say that “roid rage” is a negative consequence of anabolic steroids, many ill-informed legislative suggestions were made. Certain such proposals have been made in Oregon. It has been proposed to introduce certain new laws. According to these new laws, if any police officers  have used deadly force, or if police force resulted in certain injuries, they should be tested for steroids.
The politician Lew Frederick has made the same proposal in Oregon House of Representatives. Those police officers that have used deadly force will be investigated, tested for certain drugs and their mental health will be also evaluated.
In fact, it is unclear why police officials that apply deadly force will be tested for steroids. Can steroid use prove that use of deadly force was unjustified? Is it believed that steroids due to aggressiveness may make police officers unable to make reasonable decisions?
Investigation team is a good idea for police officials that use deadly force. But steroid use should not be taken in consideration here. Positives or negatives for steroids can’t determine whether deadly force has been used properly or not. It doesn’t matter a police official has applied steroids, aspirin or only drunk juice.
Thus, it is possible to make a conclusion that legislators turn to be captivated by hysteria connected with “roid rage” of anabolic steroids.  It goes without saying that illegal usage of steroids by police officials should be a legitimate concern. But it is not said about uncontrolled aggressive manner as a main reason in this case. The problem is that illegal administration of controlled substances by police officers makes them vulnerable to corruption and the steroid black market.  Such police officers are inclined to compromise.

TV series Celebrity Rehab present real life of famous persons that have decided to change their lives, stopping usage of drugs and alcohol

Jeremy Jackson played Hobie Buchanon, the son of David Hasselhof, in the television series Baywatch. He switched to anabolic steroids and HGH in order to overcome methamphetamine addiction.
He did it because he was told to go info sports to escape from meth addiction but now he fears for his life. The actor Jeremy Jackson became addicted to the gym and HGH and the steroid testosterone. this person can’t discontinue administrating these drugs.
The actor Jeremy Jackson decided to join the cast of Celebrity Rehab with the doctor Drew Pinsky for Season 5. But unemployed actors must have drug addiction to join Celebrity Rehab.  What does Celebrity Rehab represent really? It is the first TV series about real experiences of celebrated persons who intend to change their lives, to escape from addiction to alcohol and drugs. So, they join Celebrity Rehab to be treated.  All these persons have a real decision to achieve the recovery.
The chief specialist is Drew Pinsky there. This person is known better as Dr. Drew. He is a radio and television personality. This specialist hosted the talk show LOVELINE.
It is known that Jeremy Jackson doesn’t apply methamphetamine since 2000. He doesn’t have this addiction. Then, he has joined Celebrity Rehab to escape from his steroid addiction.
Earlier the expert Drew Pinsky confirmed in an interview that he knew many things about steroids. He said that when he was 20 years old, he was in the world of bodybuilders. Those who took steroids told him about many conditions  because he was involved in medicine. They told him such things which were not said to others. The expert Drew Pinsky noted that some athletes start taking steroids just because anybody gave them  a tablet. They attempted to administrate it and became addicted to steroids step by step. Now they are dying from the stuff. They have depression, aggressive behavior, mania and physical problems. They have cut their lives by 10-20 years. They have chosen this way themselves.
Nonetheless, it is important to mention that however it is widely discussed about steroid addiction and dependency, this condition doesn’t have any scientific basis. The American Psychological Association has not yet proved it. One offers to change the methods. So, further studies are required in this field.

State Pharmaceuticals sponsors the professional golfer Dough Baron to educate athletes that hypogonadism must be treated with testosterone replacement therapy

The company State Pharmaceuticals manufactures subcutaneous pellet delivery system for the anabolic steroid testosterone. This company said that it was a sponsor of the professional golfer Dough Baron. As it is known, this athlete is the only professional golfer that has received a ban by the PGA Tour because he has broken anti-doping laws. Robert Whitehead, the chief executive of State Pharmaceuticals proclaimed that it was not fairly to ban the golfer. He defended this as well as other professional sportspersons who apply the steroid testosterone, when it is prescribed by health care providers in order to increase reduced levels of this hormone in them.
While the golfer filed a lawsuit against the PGA Tour, the CEO of State Pharmaceuticals supported him in this lawsuit. Robert Whitehead said that the PGA Tour didn’t have any justice to name this professional golfer a  “cheater”. However the status of the lawsuit hadn’t been made public, the PGA Tour made a decision to approve the therapeutic intake of the anabolic steroid testosterone by  the golfer Dough Baron. So, the golfer Dough Baron  received a TUE for intake of testosterone for clinical purposes.
Robert Whitehead mentioned why State Pharmaceuticals decided to be the sponsor of the golfer Dough Baron. The CEO of State Pharmaceuticals argued that the PGA Tour acted improperly in many cases. The sportsman who needed therapeutic usage of the steroid testosterone was called a liar. So, the PGA Tour contributed in medical ignorance and kept sportsmen from improving their health. Robert Whitehead, the CEO of State Pharmaceuticals, added that numerous opinions connected with testosterone replacement therapy didn’t have any scientific basis. These incorrect statements have kept numerous individuals from the medical care.
The CEO of State Pharmaceuticals mentioned that Dough Barron was guilty in one mistake: he had become the innocent victim of other individuals’ ignorance.
The conditions of the agreement between State Pharmaceuticals and the golfer Dough Baron were not made public. It was just mentioned that Dough Baron would teach public about hypogonadism and testosterone replacement therapy.

David Howman, the director general of the WADA, doesn’t know that Clenbuterol is not an anabolic steroid

It seems that the director general of the WADA David Howman believes that Clenbuterol belongs to anabolic steroids. This person points out that illegal heroin is not as profitable as anabolic steroids that are legal, if they are purchased and administrated with physicians’ prescriptions. The director general of the WADA is also surprised by the statement that steroids are useful in order to enhance growth of livestock.
The director general of the WADA  proclaims that application of steroids for growth of livestock is quite obvious due to contaminated beef in China. the director general of the WADA notes that the WADA has written to the Chinese minister who has to explain what actually happens in the food industry of this country.
David Howman speaks about Clenbuterol as about an anabolic steroid. David Howman says that Chinese beef contains steroids. He believes mistakenly like a lot of other individuals consider that all medicines that have performance-enhancing effects are anabolic steroids. It shows ignorance of these individuals. They should understand that not only anabolic steroids are included in the list of prohibited medicines. There are products which have performance-enhancing effects but they are not steroids.
Since Howman is the director general of the World ADA, he must have essentially better knowledge related to prohibited medications. Howman must understand the difference between such products as Clenbuterol and anabolic steroids.
David Howman confirms that steroid smuggling is much more profitable than heroin trafficking because steroids are legal in certain cases but heroin is illegal under any circumstances. Moreover, anabolic steroids are legal in some countries.
Howman  adds that controlled medications are dangerous for youth, elite sportspeople and any individual who gets and uses them illegally.

A drug tax of 52 million dollars that had to be paid by a distributor of steroids was lowered to 2, 000 dollars

A drug tax is required in the state of Louisiana for distribution of steroids. This drug tax exists in this state for the past 20 years. Thus, Todd Matherne, a distributor of steroids was enforced to pay 52 million dollars because he sold a lot of steroids with the labels of the “Zencall Labs”.  This person was sentenced to 7 year imprisonment but he served 3 years of them.
In fact, Todd  Matherne didn’t know the Louisiana’s drug stamp law. But when he was released from the jail, he studied this law. As a result, this man filed a lawsuit against the State of Louisiana, noticing that it was too cruel to enforce him to pay 52 million of dollars. This steroid dealer pointed out that it had been an unusual and even too cruel punishment. This man noted that his rights were violated.
The Louisiana Department of Revenue didn’t fight against this man in the court. It was decided to reach agreement in this situation. Thus, the tax was reduced significantly. According to the new decision, this steroid dealer had to pay only 2, 000 dollars instead of 52 million dollars. Nonetheless, the drug tax law has remained in Louisiana but its constitutionality is still discussed.
John Williams, a specialist in drug prosecution for the Louisiana District Attorney Association, noted that some laws in different other states were ruled unconstitutionally. He added that it was the same with the drug tax law in Louisiana. But since several laws try to criminal twice the same crime, they may be lifted.
This specialist claimed that this law couldn’t work well because it might exclude criminal prosecution. This expert for drug prosecution from Louisiana claimed that this law was not being used because a criminal case could be lost in exchange just for taxes.
There is also another reason that may explain why law enforcements do not desire to impose the drug tax law in Louisiana. Law enforcements do not support this law because the taxes don’t go to law enforcement; they go to state agencies.
According to drug tax law in Louisiana, the tax of 200 dollars is indicated per 1 g of anabolic steroids, if they are distributed by weight. If these drugs are distributed by dose units, it is indicated to pay 400 dollars for 10 dose units.
As for Todd Matherne, he was a steroid dealer of the huge underground lab called “Zencall Labs”. The Louisiana State Police busted this lab in 2005. More than 10, 000 tablets and 300 capsules of Winstrol, more than 6, 000 tablets of Anadrol, 3,500 tablets and 1, 900 capsules of Cialis, 1, 5000 capsules of Tamoxifen, 2, 400 capsules of Clomid, 800 capsules of Anabol and 600 capsules of Dianabol were seized by the  officers. Furthermore, more than 700 vials of injectable anabolic steroids and certain pounds of raw steroid powder were also found there.

The anti-steroid campaign “Don’t Be An Asterisk” reinvigorates its activity under another name

“Don’t Be An Asterisk” anti-steroid campaign was organized to supply people with knowledge about steroid use, about dangerous things connected with performance-enhancing drugs within and outsides sports in order to promote discontinuing administrating these medicines.
But this campaign was in negligence during certain period of time. The United States Olympic Committee (USOC) and Ad Council decided to restore activities of this campaign. It was decided to create a new gateway page for the website and to change the name from the “Don’t Be an Asterisk” to the “Play Asterisk Free”.
The new website for “Play Asterisk Free” has links and leads to the original “Don’t Be Asterisk” which has been uncharged for more than 2 years. This site promotes the visitors to enter another new page that is on Facebook. Thus, they can play asterisk free there. The same page will be established on Twitter with the same name “Play Asterisk Free”. Thus, the popular social media will promote spreading the messages of the campaign.
The original website DontBeAnAsterisk.com has an interactive soccer game. Players  are encouraged to score goals avoiding the asterisks. The asterisks represent anabolic steroids. If the interactive soccer players don’t avoid the asterisks, they become much more muscular.
Although the game has been established to educate children that steroids are not safe, the results are opposite. Children find it funny to fail avoiding asterisks and to observe how muscles of the interactive soccer players become significantly enhanced. Although the game is still available on the website, it is unlikely that it will be able to teach kids that steroids should not be administrated.
The principal goal of this campaign is to teach children that a user of steroids isn’t a trustful person; he\she is “fake”, a “joke” and a “poser”.

It is impossible to be sure that Jose Canseco’s third book will be successful

Jose Canseco who has announced himself as a “godfather of steroids” in baseball writes his third book. This person avoids discussing anabolic steroids and other preparations that induce performance. He wants to focus on his own experience. The book which has the title “The truth hurts” will describe how Jose’s revelations about steroid use by celebrated baseball players influenced on his life negatively. The author is going to write that he has been affected both professionally and financially because of the truth.
Jose Canseco’s first book is entitled as “Juiced: Wild Times, Rampant Roids, Smash Hits and How Baseball Got Big”. It is the bestseller. The author named several baseball players that administrated steroids. Names of such players, as Mark McGwire, Rafael Palmeiro and Jason Giambi were mentioned in the book. Thus, Canseco made public consumers of steroids in baseball. Moreover, as a result, some of these accused athletes admitted that they administrated forbidden medications. Then, as a celebration of the winning, Jose Canseco wrote another book which had the title “Vindicated”. This writer mentioned also names of other baseball players that applied steroids. Alex Rodriguez and Roger Clemens were named by the writer.
Some individuals confirm that the Jose Canseco’s third book will fail. It will not achieve the same glory as previous books, according to them. These people point out that the writer will be probably surprised but links between truth about steroids and his professional life will not attract readers.
But it is unclear whether the opinions of these people that confirm that the third book of Jose Canseco will fail will be justified. The author has been entertaining many persons, when he fought against Danny Bonaduce in a celebrity boxing match in 2009. Earlier he was humbled, when he fought against the football player Vai Sikahema in a boxing match. Jose Canseco was knocked by Vai Sikahema and was ridiculed by numerous persons.
It is known that Jose Canseco administrated anabolic steroids and his natural testosterone creation became suppressed. So, he experienced such unexpected consequences of steroids, as low libido and depression.
This person also attempted to contraband HCG across the Mexican border. He did it for self-administration to be cured from decreased testosterone level. So, he had legal troubles linked with steroids.
Recently this person entertained a lot of persons, when he wrote on his Twitter account that he would hit easily a softball further than Rodriguez may hit a baseball. Jose Canseco challenged Alex Rodriguez to compete with him.
The time comes, when we see whether the book of Jose Canseco “The truth hits” will have success.
