WADA can’t combat doping

Recently Alan Abramson wrote an article where he discussed whether tests conducted by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) were reliable.
The WADA conducts more and more tests for steroids and other related medications each year. It seems that steroid users are caught. You may think that the world of sports and bodybuilding will be soon cleansed from intake of banned medications. For example, many tests for banned drugs have been conducted at the 2012 Olympic Games.
But several questions appear here. Are these tests sophisticated enough to catch any person that dopes? Are these tests effective?
Let meditate over results of several tests. In 2010 the WADA published statistics according which 258,267 samples were analyzed by 35 WADA-accredited labs. Out of these samples 4,820 results were atypical findings. About 60 % of positives indicated about usage of steroids. Numerous positives were for cannibinoids. 10 % positives indicated about application of marijuana. As you observe, only 60% out of those who administered forbidden medications applied steroids. Is it real? Don’t prove the results of the tests that the WADA doesn’t do the job properly?
Dick Pound, the former president of the WADA, thinks that at least 10 % of sportspersons who competed at the 2012 London Olympics used steroids. He confirms that those steroid users that are not clever are caught by anti-doping agencies. He also affirms that a sportsperson who has been caught using banned drugs will fail an IQ test. He adds that just unwise sportspersons don’t avoid detection.
So, when you hear that the WADA has conducted many tests to make sports clean, think whether these statements are true. Is able the WADA to make competitions fair? Why does the WADA publicize about number of tests?
It seems that the WADA just wants to convince people that the job is done properly. The WADA desires to secure future funds. This is the reality.

Steroid use throughout history

There are controversial points of view about anabolic steroids. Consumers praise these preparations because they produce great positive changes. Scientists conduct various studies, trying to set whether these medicines are safe for usage. Sports organizations ban administration of these medications because they have essential influence on performance. When it comes to governments of certain countries, they have made purchases, application and sale of anabolic steroids illicit. So, those that are caught violating these laws may be enforced to pay a fine and/or go to jail.
You may find numerous articles that demonize steroids for some crimes. Although there are numerous statements about these medicines, the most of people don’t comprehend the essence of these medications.
Anabolic-androgenic steroids are capable to increase muscle size and help to gain essential strength. While anabolic properties of these medicines induce creating new muscles, androgenic features are responsible for development of male sex characteristics.
What promoted creation of these products? It is known that there were a lot of battles between various cultures since ancient time. Thus, different cultures tried to elaborate something which could help soldiers to become braver and have strength enough to win. They used rhinoceros horn, shark tooth and other several extracts. Later testicles of animals began to be researched. It promoted elaboration of anabolic steroids.
The hormone androstenone was isolated from many other compounds in 1930 for the first time by the specialist Adolf Butenandt. Then other hormones were synthesized. By 1939 the hormone testosterone, a basis of current anabolic steroids, was synthesized.
1940s and 1950s were years of essential steroid development. Many studies were conducted in different countries in the whole world. Specialists studied influence of these medicines on performance of athletes and bodybuilders. Certain doctors promoted administration of steroids among professional sports figures. John Ziegler was one of them. He administered Dianabol to Olympic athletes.
Steroids were also widely taken in sports and bodybuilding in 1960s and in 1970. More than 50 % Olympic athletes administered these drugs. However new kinds of tests were introduced by anti-doping officials, it was impossible to combat applying these medicines by sportspeople.
Nowadays more sophisticated tests for steroids and other related medicines have been introduced. Nonetheless, these medicines are still widely applied in the world of sports and bodybuilding. Clever consumers know several methods to use steroids and remain undetectable.

Those that don’t take part in any competitions widely use steroids

It is confirmed that the most of steroid users are professional athletes and high school students who are involved in sports. It seems to be true because anabolic steroids are capable to promote enhancing muscle mass and strength. These are effects that appreciated by athletes because they try to win competitions. Moreover, you read many articles which present steroid scandals which occur in sports: in Major League Baseball, National Football League, Olympics, etc. You become convinced that steroids are such medicines that dominate chiefly in sports. You also read numerous pieces of news that note about administration of performance-enhancing drugs by high school students that look at professional athletes and want to become so well-known, as they are.
But the sportswriter Lena Butler states that the most part of steroid users are not sportspersons. The most of steroid users are bodybuilders that don’t take part in any competitions. So, 80% of steroid users are non-competitive bodybuilders. The most of them are young: over the age 25. These are persons that work as military professionals, officers of law enforcement, etc. So, these are individuals who have such jobs that require strength. They apply steroids for increase of their strength and do their jobs appropriately.
It is also interesting to notice that a lot of individuals that have own business apply steroids. They have enough money to look attractively. So, they administer steroids in order to improve physique and to reverse aging process.
As for high school students who go info sports, they administer steroids because they want to succeed in sports. These individuals desire to win competitions, become prominent and receive millions of dollars. Steroid-using celebrated sportspersons have essential impact on the decision of high school students to take steroids. In fact, it is dangerous. Health of high school students can be affected because of steroids obviously. Unluckily, this class of steroid users doesn’t desire to change their attitudes to steroids. However they are informed about risks connected with steroids for young users, they continue to use steroids. The number of high school students that administer these preparations rises. If certain years ago 1% of high school students applied steroids, nowadays the number is doubled.
However there is a tendency to condemn steroids, it is important to remember that these preparations are applied not only for increase of performance. They are utilizable in medicine. Doctors recommend these medicines for persons who experience various health disorders. These products are recommended for patients with cancer. HIV/AIDS- persons use steroids in order to combat muscle wasting. These medications effectively treat other conditions as well.

Most typical undesirable results of steroids

No one can contest positive effects which are produced by application of steroids. Consumers of these products get endurance and increase their muscle mass. As a result, those who participate in competitions win awards. But there is  an unpleasant piece of news here. Anabolic steroids, like any other medicines, can lead to negative results. Functions and even structure of several organs can be destroyed on account of steroid use.
That’s why before administering anabolic steroids it is needed to know about each potential unwanted reaction which may appear on account of these preparations. It is a good idea to learn information about these products before you make a final decision to take them. You should know that some unwanted consequences of these medications may be even permanent.
It is also important to know indications linked with usage of steroids and follow them. Inappropriate application may lead to life-threatening undesirable reactions.
There are also instructions which note how you can lower dangers related to several adverse reactions or reduce their severity. Those who have appropriate trainings during intake of steroids, use standard measures, have proper diets and apply several ancillary products for reduction of side reactions will not experience grave health problems.
Serious  adverse effects ordinarily trouble those who take enhanced dosages and don’t follow other important recommendations.
However it is claimed that soon administration of steroids will become safe, you may observe that this time has not come yet. That’s why you must know about all probable dangers in order to prevent certain troubles or at least to decrease severity.
The most common troubles related to administration of steroids are enumerated below:
- liver dysfunctions;
- kidney problems;
- skin troubles;
- cardiovascular problems;
- psychological troubles;
- troubles linked with reproductive system.
Why may be liver affected by steroids? Let explain. Steroids contain toxins. The body tries to excrete them. Liver takes part in this process actively.  Thus, its functions may be destructed because of the toxins contained in steroids. Cysts and tumors may be formed. It is true also about kidneys that also play great role in excretion of toxins. It is known that toxins can be also excreted through skin. That’s why  usual negative effects of steroids include acne formation, oily skin and other related problems.
Steroids may also increase cholesterol levels; thus, arteries around the heart are blocked; blood clots are formed. The heart may become unable to circulate the blood through the body properly. High blood pressure may also trouble consumers of steroids. Even heart attacks may be caused by steroids.
Psychological health may be destructed by steroids too. Those that use these products may become aggressive; they may experience unusual changes in mood and depression. Other mental troubles may appear too.
As for reproductive system, it may be affected as well. Male consumers of steroids may experience shrinkage of testicles, changes in size of prostate, abnormal development of breast tissue, infertility, etc. Female consumers of steroids may face such troubles, as enlargement of clitoris, hirsutism, irregularities in menstrual cycles, etc.
Unfortunately, steroids may influence on other systems negatively too. Only the most usual adverse results are mentioned in the article.

Precious achievement of scientists for men with sexual disorders

Several health troubles occur in many persons and destroy normal life. One of such troubles is erectile dysfunctions. This problem occurs in 50% of men that are over 40 years old. Undoubtedly, this is an unpleasant condition which may affect relations between partners. Males try to escape from this dysfunction. There are certain medications that are recommended to treat erectile problems. Viagra, Levitra and Cialis are considered to be the best remedies for this need.
Several pharmaceutical companies understand that the drugs which are useful for treatment of erectile problems are in a high demand. They receive 500-600 million dollars for the preparations which effectively work in case of this problem in men. So, pharmaceutical companies see that they may receive even greater profits, if they elaborate new efficacious drugs for this purpose. Undoubtedly, they put efforts to do it.
Lately several new drugs for treatment of erectile dysfunctions have been developed. But they must be approved by the FDA before they may be bought and taken legally. These drugs are following: Avanafil, Zoraxel, Zydena (Udenafil) and Bremenalotide.
Let provide general information about every of these medications.
Vivus, a pharmaceutical company, has made the product Avanafil. Several studies have demonstrated that benefits of this medicine become obvious just 15 minutes after it has been taken. But the FDA has not yet approved this preparation. So, it is needed to wait till its safety will be proven.
The pharmaceutical company Rexahn Pharmaceuticals has developed the medication Zoraxel. It influences on the brain, treating erectile troubles. It is confirmed that this product will get the FDA’s approval by 2013.
The drug Zydena has been developed by the Korean pharmaceutical company by Dong-A Pharmaceuticals. It is utilizable for both men and women that suffer from sexual problems. Moreover, it has ability to enhance sexual arousal and desire, influencing on central nervous system.
These are new products for treatment of erectile troubles. We may hope that they will have capacity to improve quality of males’ health.

Brain and its functions in teenage steroid users

If you are interested in news about steroids, you can claim that almost each article notices about “roid rage” which is claimed to be one of the severest side reactions of these medications. Anabolic steroids are blamed for numerous violations, murders and other crimes. It is noticed that these drugs can cause uncontrolled aggression which is responsible for abnormal behavior. However it is not proven scientifically whether steroids may actually cause “roid rage”, media reports about this side consequence very frequently. Unluckily, several other dangerous adverse consequences are rarely mentioned in news.
Adolescents should be especially warned about certain specific adverse effects that may trouble them, if they use steroids in their adolescent years. The specialists Leslie Henderson and Ann Clark of the Giesel School of Medicine in Dartmouth note that these drugs may have very negative influence on teenagers’ brains. These specialists have conducted some studies and made conclusions, basing on the results of their researches. These experts claim that steroids can cause in teenagers something more serious than uncontrolled aggression.
According to Leslie Henderson and Ann Clark, steroids are too dangerous for adolescents because this group of consumers may face some specific grave unwanted effects which don’t occur in adult consumers of steroids. The professors confirm that steroids may affect the brain in adolescents. Thus, the brain’s structure and functions may be destroyed in teenagers because of steroids. Furthermore, these negative reactions may be permanent. It means that brain’s dysfunctions that are manifested through uncontrolled behavior may present even when the adolescents grow up. Thus, side psychological effects may be displayed even in their adulthood.
But it is important to note that the studies conducted by Leslie Henderson and Ann Clark have enrolled animals. So, these statements are made on the basis of animals’ reactions to steroid use. One may doubt whether effects of steroids on adolescents’ brains are the same as those on animals. Nevertheless, Leslie Henderson is sure that these statements are true for humans as well.
Furthermore, it has been determined that side results of steroids on adolescents are more lasting than those which occur in adult steroid users.
Leslie Henderson works together with such professors, as Marie Onakomaiya, Donna Porter and Joseph Oberlander.
Leslie Henderson affirms that it is evident that steroids affect adolescents’ behavior. As we know, the brain controls behavior. Since behavior is abnormal, the brain’s structure and functions are destroyed.
Thus, it is necessary to educate adolescents about all possible dangers connected with steroid use. If they know about these probable side consequences, they will be able to make a right decision connected with steroids.

Wade Boggs: former steroid users must not be allowed to be in Hall of Fame

What do retired players of the Major League Baseball affirm about usage of steroids? This is the question which is frequently asked by journalists and widely presented by media. Various persons have different points of view about this issue.
Recently certain retired players of the Major League Baseball were interviewed by certain journalists who tried to learn opinions of the former players about the steroid era in baseball. Should steroid users be in the Hall of Fame?
Reggie Jackson, Goose Gossage, Dave Henderson, Curt Schillling, Mike Piazza, George Brett and Morgan Ensberg don’t desire to see steroid users in the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Later Wade Boggs was asked about this issue as well. He played professional baseball for 18 years. He was asked whether steroid users could be allowed to be chosen for the Hall of Fame. The former baseball player claimed that consumers of steroids should not be chosen for the Hall Of Fame. According to his opinion, it is a bad message for American youth. No one should be allowed to be in the Hall of Fame and affirm that he is one of the greatest players because he has administered anabolic steroids. This is the bad message for the youth of the whole world.
When Wade Boggs was asked about Roger Clemens, Boggs said nothing negative about him.
Clemens was accused of lying before the Congress about application of steroids and HGH. He was charged with obstruction of Congress, perjury and false statements. But recently the jury acquitted him. The decision of the jury dismissed the statement that Clemens succeeded due to administration of banned medications.
While Wade Boggs refused to say anything negative about Roger Clemens, he pronounced some harsh words about pitchers who take steroids and take unfair advantages.

Top Olympic weightlifters were sentenced to suspensions for intake of banned medications

The top Olympic weightlifters Patrick Mendes and Joshua Gilbert were banned from “Average Broz’s Gymnasium” (Las Vegas, Nevada). They tested positive for forbidden medications. Steroids were not the drugs taken by these sportsmen. They administered non-steroidal drugs that are also forbidden under Code of the WADA.
Patrick Mendes tested positive for forbidden medications in February 2012 before the United States Olympic Team Trials for Weightlifting scheduled who would represent the US at the 2012 London Olympics. The athlete tested for HGH; as a result, he was suspended.
Joshua Gilbert tested positive for the diuretic preparation furosemide at the 2012 National Weightlifting Championships. It was in March 2012.
Furosemide is a product that is applied by those that administer steroids in order to mask steroid use. Furthermore, this medication helps sportspersons to lose weight in order to meet criteria of certain weight groups.  Weightlifting, boxing and wrestling are sports that divide competitors to weight categories.
HGH and furosemide are medicines which are forbidden by the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF). The anti-doping system of the IWF is in the harmony with the WADA Code.
Mendes and Gilbert were coached by John Broz. Broz lived and trained with the celebrated Bulgarian weightlifter Antonio Krastev during his career. Krastev broke a world record snatch of 216 kg in 1987. John Broz studied the Bulgarian system of trainings and brought some methods to America. He founded own training gym in Las Vegas.
Mendes was sentenced to 2-year suspension. As for Gilbert, he was suspended for 3 years.
The bans of these sportsmen are failure for “Average Broz’s Gym”. Thus, the greatest weightlifters were not allowed to represent their native country at the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Heavyweight boxer Larry Olubamiwo finally tested positive for EPO

The boxer Larry “War Machine” Olubamiwo applied several anabolic steroids, HGH, IGF-1 and other related drugs during six years. However some tests have been conducted earlier, he was caught just in January 2012. After a fight against Sam Sexton Larry Olubamiwo tested positive for forbidden preparations. Metabolites of steroids were not found in his sample. The athlete tested positive for EPO. EPO represents a blood boosting product.
Long-term usage of forbidden products by Olubamiwo was a real embarrassment for the United Kingdom Anti-Doping. Andy Parkinson, the CEO of the UKAD, tried to prove that the ban of Olubamiwo for usage of 13 various forbidden medications is a real success of the UKAD in the struggle against doping.
Andy Parkinson affirmed that it was an unusual case. The boxer used steroids and other related medications for prolonged time without fear to destroy his health, career and reputation. He was sentenced to 4-year ban.
But the alarming factor is following: Olumamiwo could avoid detection for long time, despites essential efforts of anti-doping officers to “clean” sports from intake of doping medicines.
Olubamiwo was caught just because the UKAD was informed by the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) that he was implicated in an investigation connected with illicit sale of anabolic steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs in the US. Then the UKAD conducted a test which resulted in positive results for EPO.
Robert Smith, the General Secretary for the British Boxing Board of Control, supported the statements of Andy Parkinson about efforts and success of anti-doping officers. He confirmed that the case demonstrated that cheating couldn’t be hidden.
What is your point of view about the case? Do positives for EPO and the ban of Olubamiwo manifest that anti-doping agencies work successfully? Or does the case demonstrate that anti-doping policy is not appropriate?
Anyone may make own conclusion. But it is clear that the athlete could administer numerous banned medicines for six years without being caught by anti-doping officers.

Opponents of Linda McMahon don’t lose any opportunity to accuse Linda in steroid scandals in WWE

Linda McMahon puts great efforts to prove that she is a politician who deserves to be trusted. She tried to get rid of steroid associations that have destroyed the reputation of the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) throughout many years. Undoubtedly, her opponents ever used possibilities to note about serious problems associated with steroid use in the WWE.
It is always noticed that Linda McMahon is the former President and CEO of the WWE. The WWE was established by her and her husband Vince McMahon in 1990. Almost 60% of the traded stock of the WWE belongs to them. They succeeded due to profits linked with the WWE Empire. One billion dollars was got by the McMahons due to the business linked with the WWE. Mrs. McMahon ended her tenure of the WWE in 2009 and began her political career. She joined the Republican Party seeking a Senatorial Seat for the State of Connecticut.  The woman wasted about 50 million dollars on the campaign. But she didn’t get success. The nominee of the Democratic Party Richard Blumenthal became the senator. Nowadays she is seeking the Republican nomination in order to replace Joe Lieberman, another retiring Senator for Connecticut’s State.
Since Linda McMahon got involved in politics, many individuals began to criticize her for usage of steroids in the WWE.
A newspaper claims that Linda McMahon loves to mention that she has created several jobs but she doesn’t answers questions about the jobs. An article affirms that the CEO of the WWE makes fun of dim-witted men that humble women and promotes intake of steroids.
The WWE responded quickly to these statements. The Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications for WWE Brian Flinn has pointed out that the WWE cares about health of wrestlers and random drug testing shows that the WWE is against application of steroids. At least 4 random tests are conducted per year for each wrestler. Those that test positive for forbidden medications are sentenced to bans. Thus, the WWE bans administration of steroids. Furthermore, Brian Flinn has mentioned that the WWE has one of the most skillful wellness systems in sports and entertainment.

Victor Conte: anti-doping system is too imperfect

Recently Victor Conte, the founder of BALCO, shared his thoughts about testing of anti-doping agencies and the current state of doping among sportspersons.
Conte has noticed that it is unlikely that the 2012 Olympic Games would be free from usage of steroids and other prohibited medications. The founder of BALCO confirmed in an interview that Olympic anti-doping testing program had different flaws. Thus, consumers of steroids were also chosen to participate in the 2012 Olympics.
The founder of BALCO doesn’t believe that intake of forbidden preparations has decreased. He doesn’t agree with individuals who state that decreased performance in various sports proves that steroids and other doping products are almost excluded from sports.
Victor Conte confirms that steroids are widely administered now too. Efforts of anti-doping agencies promoted adoption of athletes. Thus, sportspersons don’t apply as enhanced doses as have been utilized before.  Nonetheless, administration of steroids and other prohibited medications remains to be a concern.
The founder of BALCO is sure that sportspersons don’t take such designer steroids, as THG. Instead of applying such medications, sportspersons take the steroid testosterone that is considered to be the grandfather of all steroids.  Conte adds that since testosterone is fast-acting and it is purchasable in form of creams, gels, patches and injections, it is widely administered by athletes. Furthermore, not too enhanced measures of testosterone are needed in order to produce dramatic effects. This steroid is popular among professional baseball players.
Conte criticizes anti-doping system. He notes that anti-doping agencies have evident ambiguities. Even a truck can go through loopholes which are in doping laws, according to the founder of BALCO.

Why did steroid scandal appear in Singapore Bodybuilding & Fitness Foundation?

Media exaggerates any situation connected with steroids in sports and bodybuilding. Numerous facts are presented in misleading ways. Thus, steroid scandals appear without any reason. Here is the case.
Rano Izhar, the president of the Singapore Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (SBFF), has admitted that he provided instructions related to intake of anabolic steroids.
Any person who belongs to the world of bodybuilding knows that steroids, HGH and certain other related medicines are widely spread and taken by bodybuilders. Certain news websites have written numerous articles, treating the actions of the SBFF president as a steroid scandal. But be careful! He has not sold anabolic steroids, he has just spread information.
The Singapore’s newspaper “The New Paper” acquired emails between a bodybuilder and the president of the SBFF that were written before Rano Izhar became the president. Izhar provided guidelines connected with steroids cycles to the bodybuilder. The cycles suggested usage of 14 different products, including such steroids, as Anadrol 50, Dianabol, Primobolan Depot, etc. Clomid was also included in the cycles.
Izhar noticed that the recommendations were just for his friend who was an amateur bodybuilder. Furthermore, he was not the president of the SBFF, when he supplied his friend with the information.
Izhar’s friend planned to apply steroids. He decided to do it. Izhar didn’t promote it. He only desired to help his friend. He wished he administered steroids in the safest way.
Izhar acknowledged that he had provided guidelines related to steroid cycles. He confirmed that he needed to tell his friend which products were efficient and which medications didn’t work appropriately. He added that when someone asked him about ways to apply steroids, it meant that they would administer them, regardless of the answer. Thus, the president just felt that he had to note at least the most important things that should be known about steroids.
Izhar has acquired the degree of Doctor in “lifestyle medicine” at the Harvard Medical School. He felt that he had to do everything he could for harm reduction for those who use steroids and other related drugs.

US continues to press other countries to arrest steroid dealers

Anybody must have observed that the US tries to bust multinational companies that advertise steroids on internet and send them to customers around the world.
Recently the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has co-worked with Polish law enforcement officers in order to catch individuals that have been suspected in shipment of steroids and other related drugs to different countries of the world.
This investigation began about one year ago. The polish Border Guard Straz Graniczna intercepted huge quantities of steroids that were sent to customers in the US and Canada. Steroids in form of injections and pills were confiscated at the Warsaw mail terminal.
Straz Graniczna collaborated with US DEA. Finally 2 young men from Poland were detained. One of them was arrested, after he left the post office. Over 7, 000 steroid pills and 19, 000 steroid vials and 47, 000 Polish zloty or more than 14, 000 US dollars were found in this man’s car. But it was just the beginning of confiscation.
It was determined that an apartment located in Warsaw served as a base of the underground lab that produced steroids that are usually taken by American bodybuilders. When police officials raided the apartment, they found drug paraphernalia there. The apartment was used not just for manufacture of steroids but also for storage of ready steroids. Circa 666, 000 steroid pills, 19, 000 vials of steroids and more than 5, 000 steroid ampoules were seized during the search. The medicines were estimated. The price was claimed to be 6 million Polish zloty or 1, 8 million US dollars.
It is believed that the US will ask Polish authorities to extradite these two persons.
The USA is aggressive, when it comes to war on steroids. International steroid rings are busted.
But the US doesn’t have essential success collaborating with Europe and Asia. The US presses other countries to detain and extradite distributors of steroids.
Steroid dealers who were related to British Dragon and Musclebear were arrested and extradited to the US from Thailand and Cyprus.
The US pressed Austria to arrest Mihael Karner, the leader of an international drug company. Thus, he was arrested. Then the USA asked Austrian authorities to extradite this individual to the US. But feds didn’t succeed that time. Karner paid one million Euros to Austrian authorities to avoid the extradition and arrive to his home country Slovenia.

Roger Clemens jurors were interviewed by Associated Press and New York Daily News

Names of twelve persons (four men and eight women) that composed jury at the governmental case against Roger Clemens were released by the judge Reggie Walton.
The government desired the jury to be convinced that the athlete had lied before the Congress about application of steroids and HGH. But since the jury acquitted Roger Clemens, the government criticized the individuals who served as the jury. Several persons who acted as the jury were interviewed.
A political activist, an art historian, a teacher of deaf children, an official of Treasury Department and an employee of the Canadian Embassy were included in the jury.
Joyce Robinson-Paul, a political activist, was interviewed by the New York Daily News certain days after the verdict. She noted that the jurors comprehended that they had to be fair to both the federal prosecutors and the athlete. But they didn’t find anything that had to be prosecuted.  Later she also noted that the federal prosecutor couldn’t prove their affirmations.
Bradford Weaver, an employee of the Canadian Embassy confirmed that the government was wrong. He noticed that such cases should not be repeated. He also claimed that there was nothing to be pursued. This person was interviewed by the Associated Press. He also affirmed that every juror knew from the very beginning that Clemens was not proven guilty of any charge. This person reminded that each juror was unanimous.
Bradford Weaver was also asked whether he considered that Roger Clemens really administered steroids. The Associated Press also asked him whether he considered that the governmental case against Roger Clemens represented only the waste of taxpayers’ funds. But Bradford Weaver didn’t answer the questions.
Another juror that chose not to be named confirmed that the jurors didn’t understand how the government could spend essential sums of money during five years in order to pursue the baseball player. This person noted that it was impossible to comprehend why the prosecution took place 5 years.
Other jurors didn’t provide any information.
As for federal prosecutors, they seemed to be wholly disappointed. They refused to respond to the affirmations presented by the jurors.
