Rampage Jackson is happy that he uses testosterone replacement therapy

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, a mixed martial artist and actor, reported about benefits of the steroid testosterone in the interview with Gary Alexander of “Fighters Only Magazine”. He said about his decision to take testosterone, about its effects on increase of muscle size, weight of the body and his sexuality. He pronounced these words after his fail at UFC 144 in Japan.
The UFC champion was openly talking about his decision to find a physician who could prescribe him testosterone replacement therapy. He said openly because he believed that testosterone didn’t belong to anabolic steroids.  The UFC champion said that steroids were for muscles but testosterone was natural. Thus, he was mistaken, thinking that testosterone is not an anabolic steroid.
In fact, application of testosterone replacement therapy in mixed martial arts is a debated issue. Testosterone is used legally in case of hypogonadism (low testosterone production). So, mixed martial artists who have this illness can get a therapeutic use exemption which allows to use the steroid testosterone legally.
But the problem which is widely discussed is whether the athlete who administers therapeutic dosage of testosterone may get unfair advantage during competitions.
The most of athletes who have got a therapeutic use exemption for usage of testosterone for clinical purposes deny getting any increase of performance due to testosterone replacement therapy.
As for Rampage Jackson, he admitted that testosterone replacement therapy had promoted increasing his muscle size, helped to get faster recovery from his injuries and influenced positively on his sexual life. The mixed martial artist said that he had experienced a knee injury. After he had administered three quantities of testosterone, the knee was healed. He added bodyweight and muscle size. He reported that small dosages of the steroid testosterone had produced significant changes in him. His sexual life was improved significantly; he began to feel as if he had been just 25.
Rampage Jackson demonized steroids for his impossibility to lose weight to meet criteria of the 206lb weight category.
Jackson claims that he doesn’t break any law. He applies testosterone and believes that it is legally.
