Inhaled steroids are useful for persons with asthma complications

Inhaled steroids are usually recommended to cure persons with early stages of asthma complications.
According to some recent studies, one may increase the normal measure of inhaled steroids by 8 times, but benefits will be not enhanced in such situation. Ejaz Yousef, an expert that has been involved in these studies, confirms that if a physician observes that medical position of a person worsens, he/she can advise taking oral steroids instead of increasing the dosage of inhaled steroids. Increasing the quantity of inhaled steroids is not without any side response. This factor leads to various side responses. For example, the hypothalamic-pituitary adrenal axis can be suppressed in such case.  
Administration of inhaled steroids was considered to be alternative therapy to using oral preparations. It was in 1997. It was advised to indicate inhaled corticosteroids as alternatives of oral products which are utilizable in case of asthma complications.
Then, several studies have manifested that intake of increased quantities of inhaled corticosteroids regularly doesn’t increase benefits.
Yousef and his colleagues have conducted a study which implicated almost 200 children of 2-17 years. These children were cured with inhaled corticosteroids during 3 months. They were chosen randomly for treatment for a period of 12 days. Any child who suffered from asthma complications was given inhaled steroids. Then the results were evaluated by the experts.
No any kid who smoked, experienced symptoms of chronic asthma or lung pathology was involved in the study.
Patients needed to let know about their undesirable responses per telephone within 72 hours.  Thus, it was reported about cough during nighttime, wheeze, shortness of breath and intolerance  when it comes to exercises. Each consequence was evaluated according to a score that was ranged from 0 to 4. 0 meant no any sigh; 4 meant the most increased severity level.
Only 4 children out of 82 the kids that were given enhanced measures of inhaled steroids had to take systemic corticosteroids. Two2 of them were given doubled dosages; others 2 were applying the dose that was higher by 8 times than a typical one.
According to the results of the study, usefulness of the medications, placebo effect, supervision of health care providers and treatment of individuals during early stages of asthma exacerbation were responsible for getting good results.
This as well as other researches show that not each story about steroids is related to abuse and administration of them for performance-enhancing effects. Steroids are useable for many medical cases.
