David Howman: anti-doping policy is not suitable in NBA

The director general of the WADA David Howman notes that the National Basketball Association (NBA) anti-doping program is not good enough to catch those that administer banned preparations. He states that drug testing conducted in the NBA is not appropriate. While the NFL and the MLB agreed to accept additional tests, the NBA didn’t agree to do the same things.
Derrick Rose, a former basketball player, also said that numerous NBA players took steroids and other doping products. This sport is tainted, according to Derrick Rose. It is believed that David Howman’s point of view connected with administration of steroids in the NBA is resulted from words pronounced by Derrick Rose.
The NBA doesn’t desire to adopt its anti-doping program to that of the WADA. The NBA officers note that steroids and other related preparations don’t have ability to influence on games and make them unfair. Actually, everybody knows that steroids and some other preparations benefit in any sport. They just should be administered appropriately and accompanied by suitable meal and workouts. These products play great role in sports. It is impossible to contest efficacy of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs in basketball. Affirmations of NBA officers are ridiculous.
Of course, any sport organization likes to consider that their sport is clean. Nevertheless, it is necessary to see the reality. That’s why the director general of the WADA confirms that it is important to conduct more and more sophisticated drug testing in order to catch those that apply banned preparations.
